St. Maurs got on top early on with Kevin Langan, Tadgh Hegarty, Conor Richardson and Rory O'Connor scoring points in the first 15 minutes however St. Maurs also missed a few easy chances. The team play was excellent with some good passages of passing and finally St. Maurs scored an excellent goal which started with goalkeeper Shane Comiskey and finished by Rory O'Connor. Donal Flynn was playing superbly ta centre half back and after exchanging passes with Andrew Klieser-Byrne score a point from 30yards. St. Maurs led at Half time by 1..6 to 0..2. St. Maurs then made some changes and brought on 3 subs and made some positional switchs. St. Maurs extended their lead with Kevin Langan and Tadgh Hegarty pointing. Castleknock then scored a goal and point but St. Maurs responded well and within a minute Chris Goody scored a goal for Maurs. St. Maurs came under pressure but Donal Flynn was in great form and Michael Lyons, Cillian Bissett and Colin Farrell all got in good blocks. St. Maurs got the final 2 points and all in all showed some real determination and some good skill. There will be harde games ahead but each game sees a little improvment and with the continued good work at training this team can challenge for the league. Best for Maurs Donal Flynn, Michael Lyons, Andrew Klieser-Byrne, Rory O'Connor and Tadgh Hegarty while Kevin Langan with 5 points from play was superb.
