club news 30/11 ... We're only in the All Ireland Final
St Maurs booked their place in the All-Ireland ladies junior club football final after finally getting the better of Monaghan outfit Latton on Saturday afternoon, in another nail-biting encounter that required extra-time to separate the sides.
Just like the drawn game, both teams were evenly matched but inspired by Olivia Leonard and Niamh Carthy, who between them contributed 13 points, St Maurs finally pulled clear in the second period of extra-time.What another great day. Two brilliant evenly matched teams went at it again today from start to finish in an exhibition of skill in this replay.
On Saturday Maurs made no mistake and after 80 minutes came out on top by 4 points.

Congratulations to our senior football team who had a fine win over Ballymun 3-16 to 2-10 Wednesday night to wrap up their AFL div 1 campaign and avoid the relegation playoff
Some great scores tonight with Ciaran Reddin and Conor McGuire in flying form. Maurs led by 6 at HT and Ballymun closed to 3 pts at one stage but Maurs dominated the closing stages and won well.
It was a great win by the senior football team against Ballymun kickhams to secure division one football for next year. A credit to the whole panel all year for their hard work. The first team management would like to thank all our club members and commetees for all the support this year.
But did you know: We source all of our prizes, hampers and vouchers from local businesses in Rush >>We use local printers for tickets and posters
>> We estimate the return to the local economy of our draw is over €20,000 ST MAURS GAA putting money back into the community. Spread the word and support the club!
